Solar films reject 98-99% of the sun's Ultraviolet (UV) rays, the major cause of fading to furniture, broadloom, art and photos.  UV damage is also the primary cause of skin cancer.

Solar films also block large percentages of Solar Heat or Infrared Radiation as well as varying degrees of visible light (depending upon colour of tint selected) the second most important factors in Fading.
