Ribbed Glass - DIY Static Cling Window Film

Complete failure. I cut the film to fit into the panes of my clean single-pane window and applied the film using a soapy water solution. Next day they started peeling off one after the other. Tried it again after cleaning Windows and rinsing and drying films and used a Gila solution for application. Failing again next day. As useful as throwing money out my car window. I don't live near the company so I expected a diy result, as advertised. I have a beautiful wood framed window that I need privacy for, but I'll be shopping for curtains instead. 100% dissatisfied. Seller's respond: It will work much better if the protective film is removed before applying the film to the glass.
