State of the Art Ceramic Window Films Are Less Reflective Than Conventional Window Films
Ceramic-sputtering technology is different than metallic coatings used on most other solar-control films. This technology means means the film is less reflective. While solar films may be optically clear, they can be more reflective at night than they appear in daylight.
Look at any ordinary window pane at night time, depending upon the light source, you may see your reflection from either inside or out. Typical, untreated window glass on average offers about 9% reflectance. Solar films will tend to increase this reflectance level. Ceramic films add as little as 2% reflectance to your existing glass!
The Apex ceramic window films are manufactured by SolarGard. SolarGard's Panorama CX line-up of ceramic window films leverage solar absorbing technology to provide high heat rejection without sacrificing views. The light reflectance of these premium window films are kept very low, enhancing the view as it minimizes the distorting mirror effect created by some solar films.
Ceramic Window Films Benefits:
Advanced sputtered ceramic technology rejects up to 58% of total solar energy resulting in improved indoor climate control and total comfort
Low visible reflectivity provides uncompromising views to the outside while maintaining the natural appearance of the exterior
Exceptional durability makes it optimal for use in demanding environments
UV blocking (>99%) protects people and property from damaging UV rays
- Metal-Free means less Electro-Magnetic Interference (beneficial for cell phone reception)
